A Reclamation of Authority

To many, the exercise of Article V appears a last resort for the reclamation of authority by the People. I too must concede this point as it seems fidelity to Article VI is lost. But while a Convention for proposing Amendments would likely be met with trepidation, it does not preclude our arrival at its necessity.

While the effort to employ Article V of the Constitution has yet to reach critical mass, every day it continues to inch slowly forward. I for one would prefer to hasten its arrival. And to that end, I believe that offering concrete specifics to an argument can inspire passionate engagement, coalescence, and eventual consensus. For some, what I have offered may not fit that bill. But perhaps, it can serve as encouragement for other citizens to put forth their own detailed suggestions. And with that, the cause to save our country can enjoy even greater participation.

So, I implore the citizenry to do their own research, arrive at their own conclusions, and participate in this process as they are able. When done correctly, our state legislatures, and ultimately the federal government, are obligated to the will of the citizenry.
